TURKISH SEASON ACTIVITIES IN FRANCE ENDED
Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis accompanied the Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in his official visit to France.
Prime Minister Erdogan and his delegation attended the closing gala of the "Turkish Season" activities which had continued for nine months in France. "Turkish Season" ended with the presentation of the play "Musenna" in the opera house of the Versailles Palace.
Together with the Prime Minister Erdogan, his spouse Emine Erdogan, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmet Davutoglu, Minister of State Zafer Caglayan, Minister of Environment and Forestry Veysel Eroglu and Minister of Culture Ertugrul Gunay also attended the activity.
Within the framework of the Turkish Season which had started on 1 July 2009, economic, social and commercial activities as well as the activities reflecting Turkish culture and arts have been carried out in several important cities.
Prime Minister Erdogan met with the French President Nicolas Sarkozy the same day within the framework of his official visit to France.
The relations between France and Turkey, Turkey's EU accession process and other bilateral and regional issues were discussed in the meeting to which Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmet Davutoglu also attended together with Prime Minister Erdogan.
After the meeting Prime Minister Erdogan came together with Turkish people living in Europe, at the "Paris Meeting" activity held in Zenith Hall.
Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis, Minister of State Zafer Caglayan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmet Davutoglu, Minister of Culture Ertugrul Gunay and Minister of Environment and Forestry Veysel Eroglu also attended the "Paris Meeting."
In his speech he delivered there, Prime Minister Erdogan indicated that great reforms had been made in all fields in 7,5 years and they struggled and would continue to struggle to improve Turkey, increase its status and make Turkey the most esteemed and powerful country of the world.
