“TURKISH DAY” PARADE IN NEW YORK
31. Turkish Day Parade and Festival organized by the Federation of Turkish American Associations was held with the participation of thousands of Turkish people.
Before the Turkish Day Parade and Festival took place, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis released a video message to the event which was organized by Ali Cinar, the chairman of the Federation of Turkish American Associations.
In the video message, Egemen Bagis reminded that he had lived in New York for 17 years and that he had acted as the chairman of the Federation of Turkish American Associations. Bagis stated that, the achievements of the Turkish citizens living abroad, was really something to be proud of.
Addressing the Turkish people, Bagis said: “What is expected from you in here is to represent your country in the best way. Your contributions would be quite beneficial both for Turkey and for Turkey’s EU process. We expect from you to represent us in the United States Congress and in the State Assemblies and we also hope that Turkish lobbying activities further develop in the United States.”
