TURKEY’S FIGHT AGANIST TERRORISM IS AN INTERNATIONAL MATTER

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator, Egemen Bagis received Ambassador of Belgium to Ankara, Pol De Witte, and during the meeting, he answered the questions of the journalists regarding the agenda. 

Upon a question on the prevention of the EU related financial resources of the terrorist organization, PKK; Bagis said that within the framework of fight against terrorism, we have already been exerting efforts to enhance the cooperation with the EU countries for a long time.

Bagis also stated:

"We witness that even in Denmark which hosted Roj TV previously, PKK members began to be taken under custody and arrested. In comparison with the past, many countries began to have stronger cooperation regarding the share of information. We exert all kinds of efforts to ensure that the Europeans perceive the sensitivities of our citizens, our nation, and our country. In this regard, we are working intensively with Belgium. Accordingly, we attach great importance to the visit of the Royal Prince of Belgium. Turkey’s fight against terrorism is not only a problem of Turkey, but an international matter. PKK kills our citizens, and at the same time, it actually poisons the Europeans. By managing the biggest drug gang of Europe, it keeps poisoning European youngsters. In that sense, we have common interests with Europe and the Europeans take the necessary steps on this issue,"
