TURKEY IS RISING

In an interview for the latest issue of monthly Kriter Journal, Minister for EU Affairs and the Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis explained the EU's policies related to the forthcoming periods and he evaluated the Constitutional amendment package in terms of alignment with the EU.

Stating that the referendum held on 12 September would be a turning point in the negotiations carried out with the EU, Bagis noted these:

"From now on, Turkey should get rid of its unnecessary burdens and ties and start acting. Therefore, Constitutional amendment package is a very important step. 12 September will be a turning point in the negotiations carried out during the process of EU. By saying ‘yes' in the referendum, Turkey will get rid of its burdens. The negotiations will gear up. We will continue our efforts for the economic development. We will not stop our efforts until prosperity reaches everyone."
