TURKEY IS NOW IN A DIFFERENT PLACE

Attending the AK Party’s Çatalca District Congress, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis said that AK Party made remarkable accomplishments in every field and became a more important actor in its region and the world. 

Mentioning that Turkey is a source of inspiration in its region, Bagis stated, “Today, the people in Tunisia, Libya and Egypt have poured into the streets and risked their lives for democracy, liberties and freedom of expression since they have wanted to achieve what Turkey has achieved. Turkey has managed to overcome the issues considered to be unresolved.”

Emphasizing that Turkey has reached a very different position, Bagis said, “Thank God that Turkey has become world’s 15th largest economy while it ranked 26th in 2002 during which we took over. But, we will not limit ourselves with this success. We are very ambitious about making Turkey one of most powerful countries of the world by 2023. God willing, we will achieve this goal, too. ”

Bagis also expressed that they embraced all people without making any discrimination and used every means available to resolve all problems with enthusiasm, faith and determination like in the first day.
