TURKEY BECOMES A SIGNIFICANT GLOBAL POWER IN THE 11th YEAR OF AK PARTY’S FOUNDATION

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis has delivered a speech at the Iftar dinner in the Kadir Night (a holy evening on the Muslim calendar), which coincided with the 11th anniversary of AK Party’s foundation and indicated that Turkey had become one of the most dynamic and active global powers of the world.

At his speech in iftar dinner given by Ak Party Atasehir District Organization in Nuri Cingillioglu High School in Atasehir, Bagis said that it was very meaningful that the 11th anniversary of Ak Party’s foundation and Kadir Night of Ramadan, the Sultan of 11 months are on the same day. He also stated that on the iftar table Ak Party members shared not only the meal but also their friendly future wishes and feelings.

Bagis said: “Thank God Ak Party was founded 11 years ago and thank God this important step was taken 11 years ago”. Bagis stated that Ak Party which had come to power 16 months after its foundation with the support and good wishes of Turkish citizens and that he did not know any political party that had come to power in the 16th month of its foundation.

Bagis continued as follows: “Today, if our brothers and sisters in Gaza, Sudan and throughout the world who are agonizing, see Turkey as a hope, it is the result of the success which Ak Party, founded 11 years ago, had achieved. Turkey has become one of the most dynamic and most active global powers”
