THE IDEA OF EU IS A FACTOR THAT UNITES US

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis stated that Turkey's EU accession process was a platform in which all segments of society in distress could meet.

Participating in the inauguration of European College Cekmekoy Campus, Bagis stated that he believed that in the course of Turkey's EU accession process, all different belief groups, political views, ethnic origins which constitute the wealth of this country would join hands and work together and pave the way for Turkey's prosperity.

Stating that being a member to EU was Turkey's most important target in terms of reaching the level of modern civilizations which Ataturk set as a goal, Bagis said the following:

"The idea of EU motivates us to live together and to be in peace." Bagis said that, in that school the tolerance and sympathy which already exist in the nature of Turkish nation, would be defined to the children with their European meanings.

Bagis said the following:

"The children, who will learn 3 languages at the same time in this school, will not only be the leaders of Turkey but also the leaders of Europe. Therefore I am proud to participate in the inauguration of this school."
