SOLUTION PROCESS IS VITAL

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis paid some visits in Antalya and made a speech during his visit to the AK Party Antalya Provincial Organization. Bagis said that the solution process is vital and added: “If we did not have a terror problem, we could have achieved 2023 targets in 2013”.

During his speech, Bagis underlined that the sad attempt of the terrorists in Reyhanli district of Hatay brought a lump to everyone’s throat and said: “We feel great sorrow and pain and are deeply grieved. My condolences to all of us”.

Stating that we should keep our eyes open against the jealousy of some circles who feel uncomfortable because Turkey has become an instant success in recent years, Bagis said that we should meticulously deal with such traps, taking the necessary measures as a big state.

Bagis also mentioned the solution process and noted that 40 thousand people had lost their lives and 350 billion dollars had been spent to no end because of the terror problem since 1978. He said: “350 billion dollars, which is not a small amount of money! Just reckon. We have targets for 2023. Namely, to have 25 thousand dollars of income per capita and to be one of the 10 strongest economies in the world. If we did not have a terror problem, we could have achieved 2023 targets in 2013.”

Pointing out that the solution process should be explained well, Bagis said that Turkey would much develop and grow stronger thanks to that process. He stated that no country would be divided when the bond of fellowship strengthened and added: “Countries are divided through treachery, rather than fellowship and we will prevent such a thing”.
