PROVINCIAL COUNCIL ASSOCIATION FEDERATION'S SEMINAR WAS HELD IN MANAVGAT

Between 18-21 October 2008, IGM Association Federation seminar was accomplished in Crystal Hotel in Manavgat Kizilot city.

Approximately 300 participants including Parliamentarians from 50 cities, Chairman of Provincial Council and its members, Secretary General of Special Provincial Administration and bureaucrats attended to the seminar that the chairman of the seminar is the president of SPA Association Federation, Emrullah Eren.

The opening speech of the seminar that Bureaucrats, trainers and several guests attended was made by the president of the Federation Emrullah Eren. After that, apart from Governor of Antalya Alaattin Yuksel; AK Party Vice Chairman Egemen Bagis, AK Party Vice Chairman Huseyin Tanriverdi, Chairman of the Parliamentary Commission for Interior Affairs of Turkish Grand National Assembly Tevfik Ziyaeddin Akbulut, AK Party Antalya Parliamentarian and Chairman of the Turkish Delegation of the European Council Parliamentarian Assembly Mevlut Cavusoglu and AK Party Bursa Parliamentarian Mehmet Tuncak also made welcome speeches.

During his welcome speech, after addressing the problems of the local governments, Mr. Bagis gave voice to his pleasure of Turkey's being elected to United Nations Security Council temporary membership. In his speech Mr. Cavusoglu mentioned that Turkey has become a country that solves problems rather than creating them.

In the seminar, law changes related with local administrations, regulations, special provincial administration's investment programs and budgeting issues were discussed. Speakers informed the guests about the difficulties of local management and solution ways
