POLICIES FOR THE NEXT GENERATIONS NOT FOR THE NEXT ELECTIONS

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis stating that AK Party does politics indexed to the next generations not to the next elections, said “What is important to us is not the post. The post does not dignify the persons, but the persons dignify it.”

Minister Bagis, participating to the Suhoor organised by the Istanbul Youth Branches of AK Party at the Topkapı 1453 Social Facilities, explained the change which Istanbul has passed through since the days that Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan was used to be the mayor.

Bagis, presenting his thanks to the Mayor Topbaş, said “Our most important power is our commitment, solidarity and intercourse among us.”

Minister Bagis mentioned the incidents related to Gezi Park and indicated that these incidents aimed at Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Minister Bagis said that those who had manipulated the incidents tried to discharge Erdoğan from the leadership of AK Party and to cause a fit within the Party, but they could not succeed.

Minister Bagis, saying that in Turkey a fight was tried to be started among its own citizens, continued as follows:

“Let's consider that in Istanbul there is a huge boil since someone's tent was burned, the next day demonstrations are organized in 78 provinces and 30 cities in the world, megaphones, paramedic teams, compression bandages, gas masks, slogans and banners are already available in all these cities. What a big organization is this? How come all of these occurred within 24 hours? We gave this game away under the leadership of our Prime Minister and with all your determination. You should praise yourself for destroying this very very dirty trap. For the coming process, we should be careful, on the alert and sensitive. We should never allow to those who desire to cause a fit among us. We, as AK Party, does politics indexed to the next generations not the next elections. What is important to us is not the post. Previously, this post was used to remain ineffective in front of the world leaders, however today it became a post which takes a firm stand by saying “one minute” to the world. The post is same.
