    PAYING AN OFFICIAL VISIT TO BELGIUM, BAGIS SAID “OUR EXPECTATION IS VISA-FREE TRAVEL”

    Minister for EU Affairs and Cheif Negotiator Egemen Bagis paid an official visit to Brussels.

    On the first day of his contacts in Brussels, Egemen Bagis met with Mr. Didier Reynders, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belgium. Positive Agenda between Turkey and the EU, the visa regime being applied to Turkish citizens, and bilateral relations were taken up at talks. Bagis thanked Belgium for their supports on Turkey’s EU membership process.

    Continuing his contacts with Sabine de Bethune, the President of the Belgian Senate and André Flahaut, Belgium’s President of the House of Representatives, then Bagis met with the Representatives of NGO’s established by the Turkish origin citizens living in Belgium.

    In the second day of his official contacts in Brussels, Minister Bagis visited the Center for Sustainable Development of Serbia and he was welcomed by Semsudin Kucevic, the Sandžak Minister, Esad Salihovic, Minister and Jasmina Bahtijaarevic, the chief clerk.

    Making evaluations after the contacts, Minister Bagis explained that Turkey’s expectation clear and he said “We are currently making intensive efforts for our citizens to travel visa-free to the EU countries.”
