IT IS EVERYONE’S DUTY TO PREPARE ISTANBUL FOR THE NEW ERA
Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis, participating to the Ramadan programme organized by Eyup Municipality at Eyup Sultan Square, indicated that Turkey’s progress would be continue and said that it was everyone’s duty to prepare Istanbul for the new era.
Minister Bagis, stating that the most beautiful Ramadan tradition was experienced in Istanbul, said that it was everyone’s duty to prepare Istanbul for the new era. Bagis noted that Istanbul would leave cities such as London, Paris, Frankfurt and New York behind in various fields with new projects.
Minister Bagis, indicating that the center in which international conferences, Expos and meetings would be held was supposed to be Istanbul, said “Today Istanbul has the 9th rank in the world and 8th rank in Europe with 113 big organizations. We cannot have a rest by holding on our position; we have a long way to proceed.”
Minister Bagis, pointing out that Istanbul would be one of the cities which was considered as being at the first rank of the world in sport, culture-art and tourism, said that 10, 5 million tourists were expected to come to Istanbul this year.
