Former EU Minister Egemen Bagış is in the mine in Siirt where the landslide occurred

FormerEuropean Union (EU) Minister Egemen Bagış came to the mine in Şirvan districtof Siirt, and examined the rescue work carried out for the workers who were earthedup after the landslide. Bagış said, "Work is continuing at the top speed,and we ask for your prayers and good wishes."

FormerEU Minister Bagış, who came to his hometown Siirt at noon, visited the peoplewith the party members. Then, Bağış moved to Şirvan with a helicopter togetherwith Berat Albayrak, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, where hereceived information from the authorities in AFAD's mobile coordination vehicle.Egemen Bagış, later met with the relatives of workers who were trapped underthe wreckage.

Bağış,who examined the works on the field with a delegation, gave information to theİhlas News Agency (İHA). Former EU Minister Bagış said that the coordinatedefforts continue uninterrupted under the auspices of Berat Albayrak, theMinister of Energy and Natural Resources, and added, "As you can see,there is a feverish work continue here. Energy and Natural Resources MinisterBerat Albayrak stays here for the last two days and coordinates the work fullday. They work in coordination with AFAD and Siirt Governorship. We came tosupport them. Here is my fatherland. We are in the 4th day, expecting good newsfrom our 10 brothers. For sure, the best is done under the current conditions,the work goes on at a fast pace. We ask for your prayers and good wishes.”
