EGEMEN BAGIS RECEIVED THE POLITICIAN OF THE YEAR AWARD

Receiving the politician of the year award resulting from the survey organized for the fourth time by the Young Leaders Association, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis, in his speech he delivered during the ceremony held at Rixos Hotel in Ankara said, "I am so proud to receive this award just like I am so honoured to work with a young Prime Minister, to be a member of a young cabinet and to be a politician of a young country.

Indicating that he emphasized the importance of young people for Turkey on various occasions, Bağış noted that he expressed on every occasion that young people were not in the minority in this country. Bağış stated that Turkey, with a population 65% of which was under the age of 35, was one of the countries which had the most dynamic, educated, intellectual and promising young generation.

Stressing that he considered all the young people of Turkey as the natural members of the negotiation committee while progressing with decisive and confident steps in the EU membership process, Bagis thanked association executives who awarded the prize to him and everyone who contributed to the project.
