EGEMEN BAGIS INAUGURATES “TURKEY – THE MISSING STAR” FILM FESTIVAL

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis inaugurated the film festival: “Turkey – The Missing Star” in Lisbon where he paid an official visit.

In his speech Minister Bagis noted that art was of great importance for Turkey to be introduced and better understood. Bagis said: “ Turkey, which is the missing star of Europe will shine much more the day it becomes an EU member.”

5 Turkish films will also be shown within the scope of the event which will last for 3 days. Yusuf Pirhasan, the director; Selcuk Yontem, Selen Ucar, Ayten Soykok, Damla Sonmez, Selma Ergec, the actors and actresses also came to Lisbon and gave their supports to the festival.
