Paying an official visit to Estonia, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis met with Estonian Prime Minister, Andrus Ansip and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Urmas Paet.

In the meeting held with Paet, the two ministers agreed to go together for a Scandinavian Walk  with Bosporus view in İstanbul, which was selected as 2012 European Capital of Sports, in an activity to be organized in spring months within this scope.

Thanking Paet for his call to his EU Partners for abolishing visa requirement of Turkey  in his article published in EUobserver, Egemen Bagis said: “Our feelings regarding this issue could not be defined better than what you wrote”.

Egemen Bagıs also expressed his gratitude to Estonia for supporting  Turkey’s accession process to the EU, for immediately sending aid after Van earthquake and for its announcement condemning PKK terrorist organization, which is one of the most drastic ones sent among the EU countries, after the recent terrorist attacks.

Delivering a speech in Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Turkey’s EU membership process during his visit, he underlined the fact that Turkey’s EU membership was a win-win situation for both parties.
