Minister for EU Affairs Egemen Bagis received the members of Turkey-EU Joint Advisory Committee (JAC).
Before the meeting, Bagis, expressed his pleasure to receive Committee members and stated that they attached importance to every segment of society in the EU process, accordingly non-governmental organisations in this context.
Saying that this was his first meeting with JAC members Bagis wished that to be the start of a long- running cooperation. JAC Member and Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) Chairman Rifat Hisarciklioglu told that they believe that success would be achieved in the EU process and that was a transformation project for Turkey. Hisarciklioglu, expressing their pleasure for the appointment of Bagis as the Chief Negotiator, emphasized that they believed in this process whether or not having the full membership at the end because that was important to raise the standards of Turkish people to the level of EU member states'.
Turkey-EU JAC Co-Chairman Tugrul Kudatgobilik pointed that the process was a team work and noticed that Bagis's mission was very important and they, as JAC, were at his side.
