BAGIS MEETS MARK PARRIS

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis received Mark Parris, US Deputy Special Envoy for Eurasian Energy.

In his speech at the Secretariat General for EU Affairs, Bagis said that Parris made important contributions to Turkish-US relations and that he carried out significant activities for Turkey.

Stating that he had come to Ankara for various occasions, Parris said he was visiting as the US Deputy Special Envoy for Eurasian Energy this time. Parris said that his visit to Bagis was a ‘friendly visit' and that both the US Speacial Envoy for Eurasian Energy and he attached great importance to improvement of dialogue and cooperation with Turkey on the issue of transferring Eurasian energy. In this framework, Parris said that there was an open comprehension with Turkey and that the process and the cooperation between the two countries would continue.
