BAGIS MEETS CROATIA'S CHIEF NEGOTIATOR DROBNJAK

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis met Croatia's Chief Negotiator Vladimir Drobnjak at the Ciragan Palace in Istanbul.

Reminding that the two countries started accession talks with the EU at the same time, Bagis said that Croatia was a friendly country and added "Once Croatia becomes a member, it will give a hand to Turkey to help it join the union". Emphasizing that the negotiations process wasn't an easy one, Bagis said Croatia has overcome many obstacles during this process.

Drobnjak said the two countries walking together on the path to the EU should keep on supporting each other, and pointed out that they had a lot to share.
