BAGIS ATTENDS THE GOCEK ROUNDTABLE
Marking the first anniversary of the initiation of European Union accession talks, Centre for Economics and Foreign Policy Studies (EDAM) organized a round-table meeting in Gocek, Turkey, on Europe's future and Turkish-EU relations.
Bringing together 18 Turks and 22 foreigners from 16 countries, the agenda of the meeting was "Energy Security", "EU and Global Security", "Cyprus" and "EU Enlargement and Challenges of Multiculturalism".
Aside from the Foreign Policy Advisor to the Prime Minister, Mr. Egemen Bagis, the meeting was attended by names like Former Minister of State and UNDP Administrator, Mr. Kemal Dervis, Swedish Parliament's Chairman of Foreign Affairs Committee, Mr. Urban Ahin, Chief of the Cabinet of PASOK and Mr. Papandreou, Mr. Dimitris Droutas, TOBB President Rifat Hisarciklioglu and Member of the Parliament (CHP) Zeynep Damla Gurel.
Bagis noted that the part organized in Dalyan town, where the Europeans answered questions of the public, was the most different and nice part of the successfull organization of EDAM.
