ALEWI RELIGIOUS LEADER DEMIRHAN : " LET'S LIVE IN UNITY, SOLIDARITY AND PEACE"

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis received the Alewi religious leader İsmail Demirhan in his office at the Secretariat General for EU Affairs.

In reply to the words of Demirhan who said that significant work was carried out in terms of Alewi expansion, and that they expected these efforts to continue, Egemen Bagis stated that Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said all citizens living in Turkey were equal, and that they would continue their work.

Stating that there were 20 million Alewis in Turkey, Alevi religious leader Demirhan noted that they expressed Alewis' demands in various occasions and added "This is our homeland. Let's live in unity, solidarity and peace."
