AK PARTY VICE CHAIRMAN BAGS: "WE HAVE SHOWN WITH WHOM, IN WHICH DEAD END STREETS THE MAIN OPPOSITION COOPERATES."

AK Party Vice Chairman Egemen Bagis said "we have shown in which dead end streets CHP cooperates with whom. They are struggling in a fury and visiting TV channels." In a written statement Bagis said that his remarks yesterday about the articles published lately in international newspapers, "disclosed the real face of CHP."

He noted the following points in his remarks:

"We have shown with whom CHP cooperated in which dead end streets. They are struggling in fury and visiting all TV stations. While we were expecting CHP to issue a statement saying that they have nothing to do with such articles and scenarios, Mr. Onur Oymen confirmed and confessed. He had made explanations and gave some names and defended those names. He had confirmed what was written and expressed support to what was written. Then he should answer our question: What is the fascist and secular government scenario written by the people whom you have defended? What is the CHP's contribution to this scenario? They mentioned with pride the names of two people and an institution in Washington. Their lines are known. Their aims are clear. In fact their attitude towards our government is not new. They have been continuing their slanders. We had termed these people years ago as "rental writers."

-'Where is CHP in this traffic of ordering"-

Bagis said that this professional team composed of couple of people, conducts a coordinated campaign by getting orders from Turkey and that they (AK Party) gave necessary responses. He said that they are wondering where CHP stands in this traffic of ordering under the light of the recent developments. He noted that the recent development showed that "CHP stands right in the middle of this traffic." He said Onur Oymen confessed it.

He added:

"This small rental group is not the US. It is not the US Administration at all. CHP attached its hopes to a hand full of rental writers in Washington. While it is running after dark plots, German social democrats do not regard CHP as social democrat and when they come to Turkey they even do not visit the CHP. I wonder with which EU, CHP is getting united and where? Until yesterday CHP was attacking foreigners who were making evaluations about Turkey. CHP's Chairman, who you cannot even propose to change, in his group speech on Tuesday, with a historical contradiction, just for the purpose of giving the impression that he attaches importance to dialogue with foreigners, said "I give 28 other states the right to say things on Turkey." He initiated efforts to open offices in Washington and Brussels even by taking the risk that the atmosphere of democracy and freedoms there would hit them. However, his deputy, Mr. Oymen disclosed that they attach hopes to couple of foreigners within the framework of their contradictory policies.

AK Party's records are strong on democracy, freedoms, human rights, secularism and fair and unbiased implementation of laws and constitution in Turkey. I underline one more time that this situation is confirmed by the whole world. We do not have any problems regarding the trust and support of the Turkish nation. We do not have any problems regarding the support and attention of the international public opinion and friendly and allied governments. Our interlocutors in the world are not the rental writers but the officials of the states and governments, parliaments, constitutional bodies and free media.

The only legitimate political power that would enable Turkey to get united with the western democracies and western economies on the basis of common interests, national values, prosperity and democracy in broadest sense is the AK Party. Turkish voters gave this honorable authority to AK Party."
