"Together with Mr. Cavusoglu, we are carrying out the instructions given by our Prime Minister and accordingly, analysing the alternatives for AK Party’s representative office in Brussels. An earthquake was happened in 1999, and the then Prime Minister managed to arrive at the disaster area weeks later. After those times when Turkey had lost contact with its own provinces, thank God that we are now in a period when Turkey's messages spread all around the world."
Minister Bagis stated that the representative office that will be opened in Brussels should be regarded as a very important development in Turkey's journey towards democracy and said, "This commitment of AK Party, which has contributed at the most for Turkey's EU journey throughout the history the Republic and which will continue to do so, will be a permanent and concrete print in the heart of the EU from now on."
