BAGIS MEETS WITH REPRESENTATIVES OF DIFFERENT FAITH GROUPS IN TURKEY

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis, meeting with the representatives of different belief groups and the managers of foundation, said “Do not forget that your problems are our problems. We live together in this country. We share the same food, we have grown together. We are Turkey together and if we are going to make Turkey one of the 10 most powerful countries of the world, then we will make this happen together.”

Minister Bagis, indicating that the political will required to hold this meeting is already available in this term of government, said that for the first time in the history of our Republic, we had a Prime Minister who participated to iftar dinners hosted by different foundations and associations.

Bagis, stating the reforms towards the different belief groups carried out during the term of AK Party governments, indicated that now, as the politicians, they could ask for help from the spiritual leaders and these leaders made efforts in every field in favor of Turkey.

Minister Bagis, stressing that no one could harm this brotherhood and solidarity, said “Because the things bringing us together are much more and more powerful than those doing us part. The history and luck have defined a common direction for us and made us as the members of a love and peace civilization in this geography. As the inseparable part of this territory, our different belief groups have provided significant contributions to the unity and peace of our country for centuries. May God bless all of you who pray for humanity, peace, Turkey and for the unity and peace of Turkey.”
