BAGIS GREETS RAMADAN HOLIDAY IN KADIKOY

Participating in the exchange of greetings on the occasion of Ramadan holiday in AK Party’s Kadikoy District Organization, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis stated that the AK Party had given the impression of being a family since its establishment and added that this was the reason behind AK Party’s success.

Stating that there had been people in Turkey in the past who celebrated when there was bloodshed, Bagis said that this understanding had changed with the AK Party. Bagis said that those inspired by negative incidents had been left behind in the past during the AK Party’s government.

Bagis said the following:

“It is the understanding of the AK Party which ended these incidents, such as not allowing mothers to attend the graduation ceremony or the oath-taking ceremonies of their sons. We did not enter into politics for ourselves. We adopted the problems of Ayses and Fevzis living in the villages, along with Halimes and Mehmets who had difficulties in the universities, as our own problems.”

Stating that they took all kinds of risks in order to make right these wrongs, Bagis reminded that at the point which they had arrived, Turkey has reached an important level economically. Reminding that projects which could not even be imagined had already been realised, Bagis pointed to the progress in the fields of transportation, education and health.

Stating that Turkey’s development disturbed certain circles both in the country and abroad,  Bagis compared the interest expressed for Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Libya with the interest expressed for western politicians. Reminding that Prime Minister Erdogan had been met by 30 thousand people in Libya, Bagis said that Turkey had been a model for its neighbouring countries.

Bagis participated in the ceremony held on the occasion of the Ramadan Holiday at the Haliç Congress Center organized by AK Party’s Istanbul Provincial Directorate.
