AS TURKEY GROWS, SHE BECOMES VOICE OF THE VICTIMS AND NIGHTMARE OF THE CRUEL

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis said "Our goal is to become one of the most powerful 10 economies by 2023."

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis attended the sahur organized by the Sultangazi Municipality.

Stating that they enjoyed the happiness of Ramadan Minister Bagis said, "There are our brothers in Syria, Egypt and Arakan (Rakhine) who cannot enjoy the pleasure of Ramadan. Keep on praying for them."

Indicating that Turkey is steadily growing, Minister Bagis said, "As Turkey grows, she becomes the voice of the underdog and the nightmare of the cruel. Hopefully Turkey will become one of the most powerful 10 economies by 2023. By 2053, Istanbul will be the most beautiful city in the world. By 2071, in the millenary of our ancestors' conquest, Turkey will be at a different position." Reminding that Turkey's unemployment rate was 8%, when it was around 15% in Europe, Minister Bagis said, "When borrowing interests at 63% we started to loan and our plans to build the third airport, third bridge and the Canal Istanbul annoyed some people. And they pushed the button to set a brother against the other.”

Minister Bagis said ‘We are a great nation, the negotiators of a great country. Yet our main opposition party cannot comprehend this situation. They think that I am the EU’s Minister for Turkey not Turkey’s Minister for the EU. As the children of the country in which the concept of negotiation was invented, we know very well to show gesture or to dare or to say "get lost, kid” when necessary. The mayor of Sultangazi Municipality Cahit Altunay stated that youth's interest in sahur was very important and he said "We hope to celebrate more sahur programmes together.”
