EGEMEN BAGIS CONDEMS THE ATTACK IN SOMALIA

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis stated that he cursed the bomb attacks to the Turkish Embassy in Somalia, the commanders and actors of it and he added: "We should carefully think about the reasons behind the attacks against Turkey."

Bagis also said: "Turkey is in Mogadishu because of humane and conscientious reasons. Turkey is struggling there to protect the lives of people and to prevent deaths. Such kind of an attack during Ramadan cannot be acceptable.”

Emphasizing that Turkey would make the actors of this attack pay for this and would bring them to account, Bagis said: "As a nation, we should carefully consider the reasons behind these attacks all around from far and near, at abroad and at home. Firstly, they provoked Gezi protests. Then, they tried to suppress Turkey’ efforts for the oppressed and the democracy. Unfortunately, they will continue and will do so."
