MINISTER FOR EU AFFAIRS AND CHIEF NEGOTIATOR EGEMEN BAGIS MET WITH PEOPLE IN BESIKTAS

Minister for EU Affairs and chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis, together with State Minister Nimet Cubukcu and AK Party candidate for Besiktas mayor Sibel Carmikli, inaugurated the Election Coordination Centres of Carsi and Ulus and paid visits to the tradesmen.

Bagis said that he hoped this opening would be the start of a time of services being provided not a show time. Indicating that people of Besiktas deserved the best services, Bagis said:

"People of Besiktas do not want to have a mayor who considers Besiktas as a step for elevation. They deserve a mayor who considers Besiktas as a district the residents of which require services. They want to have a municipality which is not in conflict but working in cooperation with the metropolitan municipality and a mayor who is not challenging to but working in coherence with Ankara.
