MINISTER BAGIS ATTENDS BOARD MEETING OF TÜRKAK
Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis paid an official visit to Konya and participated in the Executive Board Meeting of the Turkish Accreditation Agency (TÜRKAK).
In the meeting, Minister Bagis underlined that TÜRKAK is one of the unique institutions that became a member of the EU before Turkey’s membership and stated that TÜRKAK is a very important and strategic institution.
Bagis also pointed out that they would consider the steps to be taken in order to ensure that TÜRKAK could contribute to Turkey’s goal of becoming one of the world’s 10 largest economies by 2023 and expressed that halal (legitimate) food is one of the top priority issues that TÜRKAK needs to pay attention in the upcoming period.
Stating that they are determined to enable Turkish people to live under European standards despite the resistance mechanism that the Europeans suffer, Bagis indicated that Turkey is not a lonely, unjust and weak country.
Within the framework of his contacts in Konya, Minister Egemen Bağış visited Konya Metropolitan Municipality, Governorship of Konya and Konya Chamber of Commerce.
