"RELATIONS WITH OUR NEIGHBOURS HAVE DEVELOPED AND TRADE HAS QUADRUPLED WITH THE AK PARTY GOVERNANCE"

Ak Party Vice Chairman Egemen Bagis said "Turkey was disputed with its neighbours and disengaged with the outside world in the past. The Relations with our neighbours have developed and trade quadrupled after AKParty governance".

In Foreign Policy Seminar to AK Party's personel at Şanlıurfa, Bagis made a speech on the issues of the political progress at home and abroad, relations with the neighbours, energy and the membership to the European Union.

Bagis highlighted that the ecomonic indicators has shown a rising tendency after AK Party's ruling and per capita income has triplicated. Bagis added:

"It is all same experience on domestic policy, education, justice and foreign policy matters. Through the Republic foundation, we are the single ruling party which was to be faced with the closure case while on duty. Most people assumed that everybody in the Party would fall apart as to be faced with a lawsuit. They assumed that the ministers and vice chairmen would quit their jobs. However, as AK Party followers, from the representatives of district to the chairman, we were able to get through this process even more powerful. That is what we achieved on foreign policy issue.

FOREIGN POLICY

Touching upon the Turkish-Armenian relations, Bagis stated that President Abdullah Gul's visit to that country cutted in favor of Turkey's foreign relations.

Bagis followed that Turkey's becoming a mediator role in the Middle East in the last years lead countries such as Israel, Lebanon and England to apply Turkey in such a tension in the region.

Turkey has a huge contribution to the peace of the region by initiating indirect negotiations between Israel and Syria; and had a great effort on the aim of restructuring Iraq.
