PKK IS THE MAIN ENEMY OF THE KURDS

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis indicated that the terrorist organization PKK was mainly the enemy of the Kurdish people and added "The attacks of the scoundrels and traitors who don't participate in the spirit of the holly Ramadan, can't damage the unity, solidarity and brotherhood of this country."

Attending to an Iftar dinner, arranged by Uskudar Municipality and answering the questions about the agenda, Bagis expressed that Turkey would fight against the bloody terrorists all together with its Turkish, Kurdish, Laz and Circassian people and added "The PKK is mainly the enemy of our Kurdish brothers. PKK is the enemy of Turkey; it's the enemy of peace. PKK is trying hard not to lose its income from drugs and human trafficking. I hope, we will collaborate and solve this problem all together."

In response to the question whether the European Union member countries contribute enough to combat against terrorism or not, Bagis said "Some do, some do not. Some are afraid that this external issue may reflect in their internal affairs and cause internal conflicts."         Minister Bagis also remarked that they were more cooperative with EU member countries then in the past and said "We are receiving more intelligence, we share much more information. And it will increase in time." Marking that the "Positive Agenda" is comprised of three titles one of which is enhancing cooperation on combat against terrorism, Bagis said "If the EU shows its goodwill, drastic steps will be taken to solve those issues."

Pointing out that the countries in the region were playing more roles on terrorism than EU member countries were doing, Minister Bagis said "The problem is the heavy-armed terrorists sent by the bloody-handed Damascus demon, into our borders."
