COMPETITION OF YOUNG COMMUNICATORS ON THE EU PATH

Final Jury assessments of “The Competition of Young Communicators on the EU Path”, organized by the Ministry for EU Affairs under the auspices of Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis, were held on July 19 at Istanbul Office of the Ministry for EU Affairs.

During the competition which was held in 45 universities throughout Turkey, the students once more gave the message as “The European Union will be less without Turkey”.

Minister Bagis, together with the academicians and professional communicators of the national jury, announced the young communicators who won the competition in the press release organized in Istanbul Office of the Ministry for EU Affairs.

Stating that totally 250 projects in 4 categories from 45 universities of 23 cities throughout Turkey were submitted for the competition, Bagis said that amateur efforts of the students were evaluated by the Ministry and the first eliminations were realized by the preliminary jury comprising the academicians. Bagis also stated that the doyens of the sector supported the project voluntarily and without demanding any money since they fully believed in the democratization and transparency process of Turkey.

Bagis thanked the young participants of the competition and said: “Our youth pays attention to Turkey’s EU accession process and they reflected in their work the problems Turkey encountered in this process. This was really important to reveal the creative potential of our young people. I would like to thank our teachers since they encouraged and helped our young students. I also would like to express my sincere thanks to the jury members”.

Egemen Bagis added that they needed the contributions from every sect in order to refresh the EU process.
