RECEPTION BY EGEMEN BAGIS FOR ATTENDANTS OF HARVARD UNIVERSITY KOKKALIS PROGRAM

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis held a reception for  the delegation and attendants of Harvard Kokkalis Executive Education Program. 

Reception held for the delegation and attendants of the program sponsored by the Ministry for EU Affairs and the Ozyegin University took place in Ortaköy Office of the Ministry for EU Affairs.

Egemen BAGIS emphasizing on the relations with the USA in his speech he delivered at the reception, said:

“Our relations with the USA are very strong and with Obama’s proposal we have reached to the point of ‘’Model Partnership’’. In the last decade, Turkey went through a very painful period which required to be handled by effective leadership. Our Prime Minister set an example of such a leadership appraised both by the Turkish and the global community. Thus, I would like to emphasize on the World Economic Forum. World Economic Forum which has always been identified with Davos was held out of Davos for the first time. The organization in Istanbul was a regional summit bringing 5 continents together. This is the result of Turkey’s experience and capability. In this respect, Turkey set an example of effective leadership for the whole world.”
