16 MILLION EURO WILL BE PROVIDED FOR PROJECTS ON IMPROVING QUALITY OF VOCATIONAL AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION
Within the scope of Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance of the European Union, “Call for Proposals for the Project on Improving the Quality of Vocational and Technical Education in Turkey” which aims at providing support for the projects to be developed by non-governmental organizations to increase the quality of vocational and technical education has been announced.
Making an explanation on this issue, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis said: “Vocational training is a national matter. I think that, with this call for proposal, we will have the chance to see the suggestions sent from all over Turkey to find a solution to this national matter. With the contributions of our universities, vocational colleges, vocational and technical high schools, trade unions and employers’ organisations, NGOs and naturally of private sector, we will find a solution to this national matter together. Each project prepared is a step taken in the way of solving the problems of our country.”
Within the framework of “Call for Proposals for the Project on Improving the Quality of Vocational and Technical Education in Turkey”, 16 million Euros will be granted to Turkey. Maximum 250.000 Euro will be granted for the projects that are found to be successful. The deadline for the submission of the projects is 16 July 2012.
