HONORARY GUEST OF EU AMBASSADORS: EGEMEN BAGIS

Egemen Bagis was the honorary guest of the EU Ambassadors' traditional luncheon this year. AK Party MP from Izmir Mr. Taha Aksoy, AK Party MP from Istanbul Mrs. Ozlem Turkone as well as the Coordinator of the Foreign Affairs Division, Ms. Ayse Sozen accompanied Mr. Bagis at the lunch hosted by the Portuguese Ambassador on the 17th of December. Mr. Bagis underlined the decisiveness of AK Party for the EU process and he stated that EU is politicizing the process on the axis of Cyprus problem and the rising nationalism. Mr. Bagis also criticized France's attitude towards Turkey stating: "Despite all the negative comments, our decisiveness fort he membership continues. This decisiveness is for the welfare of Turkey. We don't seek for a harbor to take shelter in it."
