ROJ TV DECISION IS DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND
Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis made a statement regarding Roj TV decision taken by Danish Court.
In his press release, Minister Bagis said:
“This decision of the judiciary of Denmark is extremely unfortunate and is difficult to remedy. It is contradictory to accept that a terrorist organisation is broadcasting its propaganda but not to shut down the television channel. This is an absolutely irresponsible decision far from prudence. This decision serves terrorism and the terrorist organization. The decision taken by the judiciary of Denmark has encouraged the terrorist organisation and “Brevik”-type racist mentalities.
The judiciary of Denmark, who has acted with the understanding “Let sleeping dogs lie” to this day, has brought the beast into its own house with this decision. It is the Danish people and youth itself that will be most affected by this decision. With this decision, Danish youth will face even more the threat of becoming addicted to the illegal drugs dispersed by the terrorist organisation in Europe. Also with this decision, the Danish people, who are forced to live alongside this terrorist organisation will be living in a less secure country. We hope that the prosecutor will appeal this decision and the high court will rectify this contradictory decision as required by the manifestation of justice and logic”.
