32nd TURKISH DAY PARADE IN NEW YORK

Participating in the 32nd Turkish Day Parade which was realized in New York, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis said “The stronger Turkish citizens in the USA become, the stronger Turkey will be in the international arena.”

Streets in Manhattan were decorated with Turkey's red and white flags by the members of Turkish American Associations Federation (TADF) who participated in the Turkish Annual Walk being organized by TADF itself. In this cortege, Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Janissary Band, Turkish Armed Forces Harmony Brass Band, artists, associations of the four big teams in the USA, the representatives of different agencies and institutions from Turkey and TRNC.

Addressing to the Turkish people living in the USA during the occasion which was held in the Dag Hammarskjöld Park after the walk, Minister Bagis said each person keeping Turkish culture is a cultural ambassador of Turkish Republic. Indicating that the Turkish people living in the USA had more to contribute than to get use of this land, and he said “The stronger Turkish citizens in the USA become, the stronger Turkey will be in the international arena”.

Noting that together with the MPs of the opposing and the ruling parties, they shared the enthusiasm of Turkish people in the USA, he said that Turkish Annual Walk had become the biggest cultural demonstration of Turkey in abroad.
