BAGIS RECEIVES AWARDS FROM MUSLIMS IN THE USA
On his last day in the U.S.A, participating in the dinner held in his honor in Newark, New Jersey by "American Muslims' Chamber of Commerce" and "Muslim Community in Northeast Region" which is under the leadership of late Imam W.D Mohammed, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis received several awards from the members of the Muslim community.
Receiving four awards as certificates of excellence from the members of the Muslim community in the U.S.A, Bagis said:
"This is a sign of the recent developments in our country. This is the achievement of the leadership and vision of our Prime Minister. The love of our brothers for Turkey here is a conclusion of the respect which Turkey enjoys in the international relations. I would like to celebrate all of you, in particular our Prime Minister for your contributions. These awards are not related with me, but with the recent developments in Turkey.
Stating that W.D. Mohammed had cooperated with Turkey in their struggle against the Armenian allegations on the events of 1915, Bagis said that Mohammed also wished to boost the commercial relations between Turkey and the Muslim community in the U.S.A. Reminding that the members of the Muslim community in the dinner were friends of Turkey, Bagis expressed that they wished to continue that friendship and mutual solidarity.
