NATO PARLIAMENTARIAN DELEGATION
NATO Partnerships Sub-Committee of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly's Political Committee visited The Sultanate of Oman for assessments. In the delegation led by German Parliamentarian Hon. Karl Lamers, Egemen Bagis represented the Transatlantic Relations Sub-Committee which he chairs.
Impressing the delegation with its development and tolerant approach, the delegation met Oman's Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Ahmad Al-Nabhani, State Advisory Assemble Chairman Yahya bin Mahfooth Al-Monthery and other officials along with the Muscat ambassadors of the NATO member countries. Delegation later moved on to the Sohar region to inspect the new Industrial zone and harbor which will cost approximately 13 billion dollars.
Pointing out that this trip had been very educational, Bagis stated that he was extremely proud to see the structures in the Sohar region built by Turkish contractors and that was very pleased to see our Muscat Ambassador Hon. Engin Turker and his team in successful efforts to represent our country.
