18 MARCH ÇANAKKALE SEA VICTORY AND MARTYRS DAY

Participating in the commemoration ceremony organized on the occasion of the 98. Anniversary of the Çanakkale Sea Victory and 18 March Martyrs Day, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis said: “Çanakkale Sea Victory is the most concrete example that shows us what can be achieved through faith.”

Egemen Bagis, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator; Muammer Yıldız, Istanbul Provincial Director of National Education; Ali Şarlak, the Garrison Commander, students and teachers participated in the commemoration ceremony organized in Ataşehir Zübeyde Hanım Teacher’s Lodge.

In the ceremony Egemen Bagis stated: “Çanakkale War is the one which the most powerful countries of the world and the largest armies were defeated. It is a war in which, regardless of their ages, a nation gathered and fought. It is a struggle for existance achieved by only the power of faith.
