BAGIS EXPRESSES TURKEY'S EXPECTATIONS IN COPENHAGEN
Paying an official visit to Denmark, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis met with Denmark Foreign Minister Lene Espersen under the framework of his Copenhagen visit.
Delivering a speech after the meeting, Bagis said that Denmark supported Turkey while opening chapters with the EU and he also indicated that Denmark Foreign Minister would be visiting Turkey in February.
Bagis convened with members of the Committee of EU Affairs and Committee of Foreign Affairs of the Danish Parliament, and after the meeting he made a press statement with Huseyin Arac and Yildiz Akdogan who are the members of Social Democrat Party of Turkish origin. Bagis expressed that during the meeting he gave information about Turkey and answered the questions of the Committee members.
After the meetings at the Parliament, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis met with the Denmark Minister of Interior and Health Bertel Haarder.
Indicating that many topics were on the agenda during the meetings, Bagis noted that they had expressed their expectations about both the problems of the Turks living in Denmark and Turkey's expectations regarding antiterrorism, negotiation process and visa
