TURKEY - KEY TO EUROPE'S FUTURE
Paying official visits to Romania, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis made a speech at the conference called "Turkey Key to Europe's Future" which was held at the Central University Library, organized by the Ambassador of Turkey in Bucharest, Ayse Sinirlioglu and The European Institute of Romania, in the second day of his programme.
At the beginning of his speech, Minister Bagis stated that there had been a great cooperation between Turkey and Romania within the scope of both NATO and several regional organizations like Black Sea Economic Cooperation.
Indicating that Turkey attached a great importance to Romania, and Turkish investments in Romania reached 6.5 billion U.S. dollars, Bagis stated the importance of the Nabucco Project in which Turkey and Romania are partners and he said, "As we have a common history, we will have common future with Romania. We will develop this future in cooperation."
Also mentioning the terrorism problem, Bagis said, "Terrorism will not discriminate on account of the race, religion, language or other issues. It threats everybody."
