    BAGIS VISITS POLAND

    Visiting Warsaw, the capital of Poland, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis paid official visits to Radoslaw Sikorski, Minister of Foreign Affairs and to Mikolaj Dowgielewicz, Secretary of State for the European Affairs, respectively.
    After the bilateral meetings, Bagis and Dowgielewicz held a joint press conference and Bagis stated that their counterparts confirmed to continue their support for Turkey's negotiation process, as it was up to that time and Bagis also said: "I informed them about the developments in Turkey"

    In the press meeting Dowgielewicz said: "My country will continue to support Turkey's negotiation process." Bagis expressed the Turkey's negotiation process with the EU and reform movements in Turkey, in the conferences he participated in the Natolin campus of the European College and in the Warsaw University of Economy and Computer Sciences.

    Minister for EU Affairs Bagis said: 'Turkey is negotiating for the full membership, not for the privileged partnership."

    Within the framework of his visit to Poland, Egemen Bagis went to Gdansk, the seaport at the northern Poland and had a meeting with Lech Valesa, legendary leader of workers and the former President.
