EUSG-EUROPEAN COMMISSION EVALUATION MEETING

Agreement for the funding of the project on Turkey's participation in the Community Programmes and Agencies in 2009 was signed between Secretariat General for EU Affairs (EUSG) and the European Commission at a meeting held in the EUSG.

Secretary General for EU Affairs Ambassador Volkan Bozkır and Marc Pierini, Head of the Delegation of the European Commission to Turkey attended the meeting chaired by the Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis.

The project was concluded within the framework of the National Programme 2009 under the first component of Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA).

In the meeting the 2009 National Programme was evaluated and it was decided to continue projects in the fields of education, culture, tourism, customs, employment and social solidarity, competition and innovation, 7th framework programme, environment and fight against drugs.

The total budget of the project is 151 million Euros. 88 million Euros of the budget will be funded by the European Union.
