11 FOREIGN MINISTERS OF THE EU PUBLISH AN ARTICLE IN EUOBSERVER
Foreign Affairs Ministers of 11 EU Member States published an article in EUobserver news portal with regard to Turkey’s EU membership process.
Economic importance of Turkey during the turmoil in Euro Zone is pointed out in the article published by 11 Ministers (Audronis Ažubalis, Carl Bildt, Edgars Rinkēvičs, Erkki Tuomioja, Guido Westerwelle, Giulio Terzi, János Martonyi, Karel Schwarzenberg, Samuel Žbogar, Urmas Paet and William Hague; are respectively the Foreign Ministers of Lithuania, Sweden, Latvia, Finland, Germany, Italy, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Estonia and the UK) and it is also underlined that Turkey will assume the Presidency of the G20 in 2015 as the 16th largest economy in the world. Turkey’s increasing influence and role in the Western Balkans, Central and South Asia and the Horn of Africa, its deep concern about “Arab Spring” and its multiple foreign policy is emphasized and it is stated that Turkey strengthens global area of European Union.

We welcome Turkey’s commitment to continuing reforms to meet its European goal and offer her our full support.
