    Egemen Bağış gave plaque to the lifesavercabin attendant

    Sinem Aydemir, a crew member who saved the life of a baby with a blocked windpipe during Istanbul-Hong Kong flight of Turkish Airlines ten days ago, was awarded with a plaque by Egemen Bağış.

    The plaque was presented to Sinem Aydemir, the cabinattendant who saved the life of the 21-month-old baby, in Istanbul Aydın University, from where Aydemir graduated, in the office of Board of Trustees Chairman Dr. Mustafa Aydın. 

    A foreign object was blocked the windpipe of 21-month-old baby of a Hong Konger family during the Istanbul-Hong Kong flight of the Turkish Airlines ten days ago.

    The prompt assistance given to the breathless baby by the cabin crew, who was trained on first aid, has prevented a disaster. Remarking his pleasure for having a contribution in awarding Sinem Aydemir with a plaque, Egemen Bağış stated “This is actually a message to the world; the incident shows the progress the Turkish Airlines, Turkish education and Turkey have made.” Bağış, who praised Istanbul Aydın University as one of the honorary educational establishmentsin Turkey, statedthat the university “conducts very precise studies to educate the people and is instrumental in shaping Turkey’s future.”
