BAGIS RECEIVES FRENCH BUSINESS CONFEDERATION (MEDEF) DELEGATION

Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis received French Business Confederation (MEDEF) delegation.

In his speech at the Secretariat General for EU Affairs, Bagis said that the EU was a platform in which Turkey and France worked together cooperatively and that the two countries also worked in several international platforms like the NATO.

Emphasizing that Turkish-French relations were deep-rooted and based on history, Bagis said "Leaders, kings, sultans, presidents and prime ministers may change but the cooperation and relations between Turkey and France won't change". Bagis also emphasized the importance of MEDEF and invited the French businessmen to conduct more business and make more trades with Turkey.

Chairing the "Season of Turkey" Organization Committee for France, Henri de Castries headed the (MEDEF) delegation's visit to Turkey and stated that they were visiting Turkey with a crowded delegation which was an indication of great interest in Turkey.

Castries stated that the cooperation of the businessmen between the two countries had an important contribution in lessening the probable conflicts.
