EGEMEN BAGIS “THE MOST IMPORTANT SIGNATURE OF OUR LIVES”

The Union of European Turkish Democrats (UETD) organised an iftar meal in Berlin.

Egemen Bagis, the AK Party Istanbul MP, Mr Metin Külünk, UETD President, Mr Süleyman Çelik, Ambassador Undersecretary, Mr Hidayet Çilkoparan, Berlin Consul General, Mr Ahmet Başar Şen, German Christian Democrat Party (CDU) MP, Mr Oliver Wittke and many NGO representatives attended the iftar meal.

Egemen Bagis made his speech, in both English and Turkish, where he stressed the importance of Ramadan. Bagis also criticised the fasting ban for muslims who work for schools,government offices and public institutions in China’s Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.

"We brought the greetings of the future president, " said Mr Bagis. He pointed out that the most important act of the AK Party was to give self confidence to the Turkish expatriates during its12 years reign.

Mr Bagis said: ‘’Turkey is now a country with big dreams who creates large projects.’’ Bagis also emphasised that now Turks abroad proudly carry their Turkish passports. The Turkish peoples success in Germany made ​​a positive impact on Turkey.

‘’It was the most important signature of our lives.’’ Said Mr Bagis on the petition for PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s presidential candidacy application, where he signed along with fellow Istanbul MP, Mr Metin Kulunk.

Egemen Bagis chatted and had photographs taken with the participants at the event after the iftar meal.
