"I SINCERELY BELIEVE THAT TURKEY WILL BECOME AN EU MEMBER STATE"
Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis received the students who would participate in International Turkish Olypics and expressed his pleasure at the interest shown by the students in Turkish language and culture.
Indicating that teachers made an effort to disseminate their culture to world in order to publicise their language and culture without saying "what is it to me" or "none of my concern", Bagis stated that they made a great sacrifice. Bagis said, "They are people who most support the efforts at enhancing the prestige of Turkey, which we endeavour to achieve. Today thanks to them, Turkey has become a more known country." Bagis noted that they worked to raise the living standards in Turkey and enhance the prestige of Turkey outside.
Indicating that he sincerely believed that Turkey would become an EU member state, Bagis stressed that this was important not only for Turkey but also for world peace.Resource: AA
