2 MILLION EUROS FOR 104 VOCATIONAL TRAINING PROJECTS FROM TURKISH NATIONAL AGENCY
Application results for Partnership Activity of Leonardo da Vinci Programme for Vocational Education and Training for 2013 which supports the cooperation between institutions in the field of vocational education and training with Europe dimension were announced. Within the scope of the partnership activity, a grant of 2 million and 70 thousand euros was allocated to 104 projects.
Within the scope of these projects 1668 study visits will be conducted from Turkey to the participant countries and mobilities will be realized from these countries to Turkey. By means of this grant support provided for a wide range of institutions and organizations, from vocational high schools to universities, from public institutions to non-governmental organizations and from private companies to chambers, various kinds of outputs and products will be obtained in the field of vocational education and training.
In his statement, the Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis said:
"The projects conducted within the scope of Turkish National Agency Leonardo da Vinci Programme for Vocational Education and Training contribute to increase the quality and attraction of vocational education and training in Turkey and thus perform a significant function in terms of training qualified labour force in our country. By means of the partnership activities within the scope of this programme, outputs in the field of vocational education and training were obtained by allocating a grant of approximately 7.700.000 Euros to nearly 400 projects until now; our citizens had the opportunity to exchange their views with their colleagues in Europe and to know their institutional structure better. On the other hand, our students contributed to their future career by finding the opportunity to work together with the students in Europe within the framework of an output. 104 vocational education and training projects prepared in a wide range of fields, from health to tourism, from occupational safety to credit transfer system in vocational education and training, from vocational education and training of disabled persons to women entrepreneurs, from beauty sector to renewable energy, will continue for the next two years.
